Display

In terms of performance, there is not much to choose between the three. These three phones include almost the same size of full HD + display panel. Of course, Realme U1 and Honor 10 Lite are smaller than the Redmi Note 6 Pro, and thus more usable position bar space.

An area where there is little use of Honor 10 Lite, with performance optimization options. EMUI offers more options to tweak color settings according to your liking, but I’m sure most consumers will still stick to the default settings anyway. Unlike the other two, Gorilla Glass does not have the protection on the Honor 10 Lite.

Camera Performance

This is where it gets interesting. All three phones match equally in terms of hardware, but follow very different software approach.

These three give priority to self-service. Sony IMX576 sensor has been used for selfie in Realme U1 and Honor 10 Lite. By comparison, the Redmi Note 6 Pro has a low pixel count (20 MP) for the front camera and as a result, the software has fewer details for working.

Thanks to your intelligent software in Honor 10 Lite. Unlike Realme U1, 10 lite uses AI to detect more than 200 scenarios in 8 categories, including blue sky, greenery, beaches, flowers etc. Metering is often at place, and the AI image growth works nicely. Realme U1 comes second, apart from Note 6 Pro, there is an additional 2MP depth sensor.

The display of the rear camera in all three phones is very close. In the context of raw glasses, the Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 12MP rear camera with 5MP depth sensor. The other two brands are a 13MP + 2MP configuration.

Redmi Note 6 Pro takes a more natural shot in the proper light, but the Honor 10 lite wins when it comes to balancing the exposure in difficult shots and even low-light scenarios.

AI enhancements in Honor 10 Lite are more mature and managed to recover shots each time with a subtle increase. If AI goes overboard, you can skip clicking on these enhancements post.

Honor 10 Lite also benefits from a wide range of f / 1.8 extraction lenses for the primary rear camera and smart AIS, which stabilizes the low light shots and refuses the handshake. ‘Night mode’ works magically for night scenes.

Performance and Software

Honor 10 Lite and Realme 2 have been powered by the current generation of 12nm chipsets, while Xiaomi is drawing comparatively dated 14nm chip slightly on Note 6.

Kirin 710 is a competent mid-range chipset that supports the GPU Turbo 2.0 technology to enhance the gaming experience. Honor 10 Lite has 4GB and 6GB RAM options, each of which has enough 64GB of storage. Further you can add up to 512GB MicroSD card storage.

Realme 2 Pro is powered by the equally capable MediaTech Helio P70 chipset which has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It supports storage expansion up to 256GB.

Redmi Note 6 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset which has been connected with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. You can use the second SIM slot to add up to 256GB of micro SD storage.

Out of the three, we had the best gaming experience on the Honor 10 Lite. The use of the day on all three phones was fine.

For the software, Honor 10 Lite runs the latest Android 9 Pie based EMUI 9.0. Realme U1 and Redmi Note 6 Pro are still stuck on Android Oreo. The custom skin you like will depend on your taste. If you ask us, then we say that EMUI 9 both on MIUI 10 and Honor 10 Lite on Redmi Note 6 are both good. There’s something catch-up in Color OS on Realme U1.

Design and Build

Out of the three, Honor 10 Lite and Realme U1 are Glass Body Phones, and the Redmi Note 6 Pro Dated Triple Layer is plastered with plastic-metal-plastic structures. Therefore, as far as the design is done, it will be closer to the Honor 10 Lite and Realme U1, and Redmi Note 6 Pro will not come close, with its unnatural broad mark.

Out of the two, the Honor 10 Lite Slimmer is more compact, and has a arched back panel – this is why it is much more comfortable to operate. On the front, Realme U1 and Honor 10 Lite are both trendy watermarks in the top and the minimal side bejels, but the Honor goes the extra mile and is able to reduce the size of the chin using its chip-film technique.

All three phones are very solid, and there are obvious protective cases bundled in the box. Redmi is a part of a metal in Note 6 Pro, which gives it a more durable feel, but corners and side frames are still plastic and are very sensitive to damage with inadvertent droplets.

Honor gives priority to design on its ‘Lite’ phone and this honor shows up on 10 lights, which is clearly visible and more comfortable than both – Realme U1 and Redmi Note 6 Pro. It also comes in the more bright color options, including a trendy gradient finish, which will be especially appreciated by young Indian consumers.

Battery Backup

In case of battery capacity, the Redmi Note Pro 6000mAh carries with the battery. Realme U1 and Honor 10 Lite are approximately equal to 3500mAh and 3400mAh power units respectively.

There is a difference in efficiency by using more power chipsets and software in Honor 10 Lite and Realme U1. In practical use, the battery mileage is very close to three phones. Redmi is still a lead in Note 6 Pro, after which the Honor is 10 lite.

All three phones have a regular micro USB port and none of the three supports fast charging.

Conclusion

These three phones are very affordable phones, but the Honor 10 Lite is one which is on the surfaces as a better option. There is no such area where the Honor 10 Light is particularly disappointed. It takes an important lead in the design, offers best in class performance, runs the latest software, has superb cameras, and provides appropriate battery mileage.

Radmi Note 6 Pro has a reliable battery and decent camera display, but it looks old and formula. Realme U1 is close, but amazed by its software experience.
